Teaching
I thoroughly enjoy teaching and helping students become more successful, independent learners. My teaching philosophy emphasizes evidenced based learning principles using inclusive practices in classroom and online instruction. I incorporate repeated, spaced, retrieval practice during lectures and activities as well as through frequent, low-stakes quizzes in order to improve learning and retention. I use technology in the classroom in order to ensure all students have an opportunity to participate and benefit from retrieval practice through the use of Kahoot quizzes or TopHat lecture questions.
In Fall 2022, I will teach Lifespan Developmental Psychology.
